10 Reasons Why Wearing Black Is My Go-To

Simply put, let’s talk about the reasons why I love to wear black. I do not always like black that much. I think this is because of superstition, and the meaning of wearing black is a sad and mourning colour according to my culture. Ok, we are just going to start with the reasons. In this case, it will be all 10 reasons why I love to wear black.

1. I get bored very fast

One thing I know well about myself is that I quickly get bored. No different when it comes to clothes, prints and colour. Imagine this: I can’t wear white shirts two days in a row. I am going to get insane. After years, I know that only black colour does not bore me. I am not sure why. Moreover, we are not going to discuss this now.

2. The whole attitude

Black often can be translated as “Hey, I am here. I know you notice me. Feel free to say hello, but do not push your opinion down my brain.”

3. Black is just simply easy

I am not trying to say that I wear black because it is easy. Believe me, it is not. It is easy to be interested in wearing ten colours and five different prints altogether. You know what I mean? It's like a unicorn vomits rainbow and glitters on your clothes. Your clothes stand out for you, but wearing black, you have to stand out for yourself because you only wear black clothes. However, black is just simply easy to match with anything and everything.

4. Black is never out of fashion

Timelessness lasts forever—yes, forever! Even when you wash your black clothes 10,000 times and slightly turn greyish, they are still timeless. Timelessness also means that you support a sustainable lifestyle. Do you know what I mean?

5. Not Obnoxious at all

I believe, and I know it is true. When someone enters a room with a floral bomb outfit, the room will be divided into three groups. The first group will be the ones who are excited about the colourful flower dress, the second group will be every one that do not care about the dress at all, and the third will be a group that finds you an attention seeker and obnoxious person.

What about when you are wearing a black outfit from top to toe? There will be only one question, “Who is this person?” in the right way. Yes, this is happening during a fashion event.

6. I have more time!

I will have more time than everyone else because I do not need to spend my time trying to mix and match colours or prints. Black goes with black or any other.

7. I do not need to show off

Wearing black is a sign of humble spirit. I do not need to be the centre of everything. I only need to be me. Moreover, I dress not to be seen; I wear all black because I feel closer to myself.

8. This colour goes with everything

Yes. This colour goes with everything. Truly everything! If you think otherwise, show it to me. Also, I guess you are delusional.

9. It is flattering

Whatever your body image issues are, black will help you delete them instantly. Black is slimming, making you look clean, more mature, and important. And not forgetting that it will make you pop no matter your skin colour.

10. It will easily camouflage any stains.

I do not have to be concerned about putting stains on my clothes when wearing black. I can even pour a bottle of red wine and stay black. Try that on your floral shirts or whatever else you wear.
