The Fossil Q Crewmaster Hybrid Smartwatch

I bought my first Smartwatch from the CoolBlue Amsterdam Shop almost a year ago.

I always wanted to have the Apple Watch for simple reasons. I love Apple products; I only use Apple products, and it is a hype and maybe a status symbol. However, I was also fascinated with the Fitbit Blaze, which was new. In terms of functionality, it is like the Apple Watch but with a few more options for a sporty lifestyle. For example, there are built-in exercise tracking and FitStar programs. With such excellent help and advice in the store, I am still happy with my Fitbit Blaze.

Yesterday, I received a package from CoolBlue with a cool new smartwatch (hybrid) to review on my site. The Fossil Q Crewmaster Hybrid Smartwatch is in the box. So what is in the box? I found the Fossil Q Crewmaster Hybrid Smartwatch, the Q-Tool, the 1 x CR2430 Battery, which will last approximately six months, a Quick Start Guide, and the regular Warranty & Information booklet.

Design

At first sight, I could not see that the Fossil Q Crewmaster Hybrid Smartwatch was a smartwatch. That must be the main reason why it is called a hybrid smartwatch. I love the robust stainless steel and the matte black rotating bezel and clock face, which give it a sturdy look. The 42mm case is slightly too big for me, but it does not spoil the cool style while I am wearing it. The design is simple and Sailing & Yacht-inspired, with silver and black as the primary solid colours.

Functionality

The watch is equipped with Bluetooth® technology, enabling seamless connectivity with your smartphone through the Q app, which is compatible with iOS and Android operating systems. Once the watch is set up, it offers a range of features designed to enhance your daily routine and keep you connected. From tracking your physical activities, such as steps taken, calories burned, and sleep patterns, to receiving notifications from your smartphone, setting alarms, and even managing multiple time zones, this watch is a versatile companion for your daily life. In addition to these essential functions, the watch also offers some unique capabilities. For instance, you can conveniently use the bottom pusher to take photos or control music playback on your smartphone.

One particularly handy feature is the ability to locate your phone with a button, triggering a ringing sound that helps you find your device quickly. It's worth noting that the Fossil Q Hybrid watches are designed to work seamlessly with a wide range of devices, supporting Android™ OS 4.4+ and iPhone 5/iOS 8.2+ phones. This ensures that you can enjoy the full functionality of the watch regardless of the smartphone you use, making it a versatile and practical accessory for tech-savvy individuals on the go.
