I hate this time of the year! It is in the middle of June, and I am in Amsterdam. Guess what the weather is? We are back to colder and gloomy days again. Before I moved to Amsterdam, I lived practically in a paradise we call Bali for six years in a row. It seems that I can’t remember the heavy rains or stormy weather at all, maybe because it was always warm. I really need to get a vacation.
So, due to my injured left knee and bad weather, I stayed home and did 30 30-minute snail’s speed walk with my dog a couple of times a day. Spending time on the internet to search for some summer sunny destinations based on its amazing hotels has become a daily routine since last week. The result is that I found five breathtaking hotels I really want to stay in. I think you all will want and must visit it too.
1. Rayavadee Resort, Krabi – Thailand
I have never been to Thailand, and this resort is a dream. An epic restaurant located inside a sandy beach cave, how cool is that. Rayavadee, Krabi is a unique and luxurious five-star resort on southern Thailand’s Andaman coast. Accessible only by sea due to the surrounding limestone cliffs, guests arrive at the resort after a short, exhilarating speedboat trip from Krabi Pier. Rayavadee’s setting on the edge of Krabi’s National Marine Park at the heart of the stunning Phranang Peninsula perfectly blends lush foliage, limestone cliffs, white sand beaches and the emerald waters of the Andaman Sea. Let's check the flight ticket prices first!
2. Manta Resort, Pemba Island Zanzibar
What is better than sleeping in a floating hotel room in the middle of the sea with an underwater room to enjoy the fish dancing and swimming? This sounds epic, but it is for me. I don’t even dare to go further than 5 meters off-shore. However, this hotel resort is unbelievable! At least I will feel like a jetsetter in this floating room at The Manta Resort.
3. Ubud Hanging Gardens, Bali
When planning my return trip to the country of my childhood, this hotel in Bali immediately stands out as the perfect choice. The allure of its infinity swimming pools is just the beginning of its appeal. The thought of indulging in the exquisite culinary offerings and immersing myself in the rich cultural experiences this hotel offers fills me with excitement. Bali, with its vibrant atmosphere and breathtaking landscapes, never captivates me. The prospect of returning to this enchanting destination and staying at this hotel is a refreshing and invigorating idea that I eagerly look forward to.
4. Cocoa Island Resort by Como, Maldives
Cocoa Island by COMO is an intimate private Maldives island resort with 33 overwater suites, allowing you to slip right into the turquoise lagoon to explore an exceptional house reef. Encircled with powder white sand, the carefree, understated luxury experience includes holistic wellness treatments at COMO Shambhala Retreat, South Indian-influenced cuisine and world-class diving. Who is keen on private dining on the reef and spa treatments before?
5. Phinda Homestead, South Africa
Small-scale, utterly luxurious, family size? Three ingredients that I mostly love to hear when it’s about accommodations during the vacation. The Phinda Homestead is a family size lodge situated on a private game reserve within the KwaZulu-Natal region of South Africa. No one around but you, the lodge staff, and the wildlife.
Breathtakingly stylish and sophisticated yet refreshingly simple, the Homestead provides the ideal venue to reconnect with friends and family. With the warm, friendly faces and helping hands of a full staff complement ready to welcome you on arrival, you will instantly feel like this is your second home.
Those resorts above will be yours and my favourite destinations. Or Search for your all-inclusive vacation with luxury included at Sandals.
